Thankful Five

I have not done a Thankful Five in a while. I let life overwhelm me and forgot about them. Seeing as how the Thankful Five was supposed to help me through rough times, it was probably not the best thing in the world that I forgot about doing them. I think starting them back up again will help me maintain a positive attitude during this time of high stress.

1. I am thankful for my family – they have shown me an enormous amount of support.

2. I am thankful to have a place to lay down my head at night.

3. I am thankful for being able to express my emotions in a healthy way.

4. I am thankful for dropping a whole pant size.

6. I am thankful for the snuggles with my dog.

Thankful Five

It is Monday and that means it is time for Thankful Five! This is the day that I take time to think of five things I am thankful for. I love doing this because it is a great reminder to appreciate all the little things in life that we sometimes take for granted.

  1. I am thankful for the rain that kept my husband home from work on Friday.
  2. I am thankful for the wisdom that my 14 year old daughter has.
  3. I am thankful that I have learned how to set boundaries/ground rules with my son.
  4. I am thankful that summer is getting closer to being over.
  5. I am thankful for WEGO Health sponsoring Suicide Attempt Survivors on Ning.

Thankful Five

Every Monday I set aside some time to think of five things I am thankful for.  Most of the time the things I am thankful for are simple day to day blessings.

I enjoy creating this list every week because no matter what mood I am in, or how I am feeling, it serves as a wonderful reminder of all that I have to be thankful for.

  • I am thankful for all the fun I had with my family playing the Wii fit this weekend.
  • I am thankful for caring and supportive Twitter friends.
  • I am thankful for inspirational ideas.
  • I am thankful for feeling good!
  • I am thankful for the medicine that helps my mind.

Thankful Five

I love being able to be thankful for the little things in life, and doing this post every week is a wonderful reminder of that. Since I have been doing Thankful Five, I am finding more things to be thankful for.  With finding so much everyday to be thankful for, I find that my days are more pleasant.

  1. I am thankful I decided to go to the Emergency Room and have my infection checked out.
  2. I am thankful that my husband is very good with tools and building things, he was able to help my parents with their fence.
  3. I am thankful for antibiotics that can be used when you really need them.
  4. I am thankful for pain medicine that can be used when you really need it.
  5. I am thankful for the opportunity to meet people from around the world.

What are you thankful for this week?
