This is my first video blog. I know it is too long, at least the vlogging experts say anything more than five minutes is too long. However, I am not going to shorten it. It is My Story, with My Voice, and this first video blog will stand as it is. It is emotionally raw, much more so than I had any idea it would be. In the future, I will try and make my video blogs shorter, or maybe not. It depends on what feedback I get, and what parts of My Story come out at the time.
Just posted my first video blog http://www.sugarfilledemotions.com/2010/... I would love it if ya'll looked at it and gave me some feedback. A little nervous
@MelissaMashburn I can’t seem to get it to play…not sure if it’s just my browser? I use Chrome. I’ll try again later.
@ReallyBlog ok thanks! I did it a different way just now and it should work fine
@MelissaMashburn Ooooooo thank you!! I was sad that I wasn't able to watch it.

you are a courageous woman. thank you for being so frank about your life. by being who you are you are touching a lot of people who aren't as brave to talk about mental illness. keep up the good work.
Thank you for taking the time to watch it and commenting. I really do hope that people do find it beneficial.

It's truly no wonder we clicked so readily. Our stories are very, very, very similar. I feel as though I sprung from the womb completely anxious and worried. And my relationship with my mom is the big reason why. Not that she knew what she was doing would hurt me, but it is what it is. We also have a very strong genetic predisposition toward depression. Lots of suicide and inability to function.
Unfortunately I'm still in the anger stage with my mom, I think. But I'm working on it. Thank goodness for therapy!
Whew, listening to your story made me all emotional. It really hit home for me. Big, big, BIG hugs Melissa.
Thank you so much. I think you are correct, many things in common without really knowing it at the time, allowed us to get along easily and quickly.
I got emotional. I cannot believe I did. My effexor usually prevents that from happening. I really felt exposed doing it.

You are a really strong women and I loved watching this! I can't wait for rest of the story
My recent post A Whole New Low
Thanks! I have often thought that hearing someone's story in their own voice is so different from reading it. I should be working on another one either tonight or tomorrow.
